STIPENDIARY STEWARD
Queensland Racing Limited, the regulator of thoroughbred racing in Queensland, is seeking a suitably qualified person to be employed as a full time Stipendiary Steward to be based in Queensland.
Role:
The successful applicant will be required to:
- Uphold the Rules of Racing and Queensland Racing policies
- Officiate at race meetings
- Preside as Chairman at various race meetings and Stewards inquiries and appeals
- Supervise Barrier Trials, Jumpouts, Trackwork sessions
- Conduct Stable inspections
- Perform office duties
- Required to work flexible hours with five day rostered week
- Travel intrastate and interstate
- Other duties as required by Queensland Racing
The successful applicant must be team orientated and work as an integral part of the Queensland Racing Stewards Panel.
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated high level of integrity and probity in all professional and personal dealings
- Sound knowledge of Australian and Local Rules Of Racing, Queensland Racing policies and Racing Act 2002
- Presided as Chairman of Stewards at race meetings
- Sound computer skills are required
