 Licensing

Queensland Racing, as the approved control body under the Racing Act 2002, is responsible for licensing participants in the thoroughbred racing industry.

Queensland Racing has a written licensing policy which is available on the Policies page.

Essentially, any person wishing to participate as a licensed person must possess a requisite level of integrity and competence in their occupation to be granted a licence by Queensland Racing. Information on the licensing process for each licence is set out in the following application forms

In light of the Queensland Responsible Gaming Code of Practice and the Wagering Act 1998, a person under the age of eighteen shall not be eligible to be granted a bookmaker’s clerk’s license
