STEWARDS REPORT
DEAGON OFFICES – FRIDAY, JULY 3 2009
Stewards at Queensland Racing Limited (QRL) today concluded an inquiry from the Sunshine Coast Turf Club, February 15 2009, AMBASSADOR TRAVEL SERVICES 3YO QTIS H’CAP – 850m, being race 2 on the program, into the reason DODGE COUNTY fell dislodging its rider apprentice J. Wood
After hearing the evidence of all riders and viewing all of the available footage stewards were of the opinion that CLAYTON (G. Baker) which was racing fiercely improved onto the heels of NONETHEWISER (O. Turpin) and when being restrained shifted out, despite the efforts of its rider, bumping WEDDING LILY (M. Hughes) which inturn shifted out making contact with the shoulder of DODGE COUNTY (J. Wood) which fell dislodging its rider.
Stewards deemed this incident to be of an accidental nature and therefore took no further action.
