Paul Dolan, who shares Beaudesert racecalling with Ross Stanley, will have a bumper audience after the club’s broadcast deal

The Beaudesert Race Club has accepted a deal to have all race meetings broadcast live to the Scenic Rim Shire in a great coup for racing in the area.
Community radio station Beau FM, which can be found at 101.5, is in the final stages of organisation to start broadcasting live from Beaudesert racecourse on Anzac Day, Sunday, April 25.
“It gives us more visibility in the area,” club president, Royce Ahrens said. “All it can do is add to the prospect of us getting more people to the races.”
Beau FM’s general programming throughout the day will be scattered with live crosses to the track for the call of each race and for reporters roaming the healthy Beaudesert crowds to capture the atmosphere.
The Beau FM deal is a certain tribute to the standing that the race club has in the area.
“This area is getting very keen on the things that are beginning to happen at the club,” Ahrens said.
“The new committee work very hard, and most of them are dyed-in-the-wool local people. The business community, council and local groups are getting very much behind us.”
The concept launch on Anzac Day leads into the club’s biggest events; the Beaudesert Cup raceday on Saturday, June 12 and the Derby Day races during October.
